I don't think having a stereotype is bad unless it leads you to treat people badly or you can't broaden your view when you find people who don't fit the stereotype. Stereotypes are natural. You have to generalize or your head will asplode trying to understand the world or trying not to fit things into categories.
I had no idea there was so much variety among Indians. This is because I'm pretty sure every Indian I've ever encountered (which is kind of a lot) has had black hair and at least somewhat dark skin. But what you said about that is very interesting, duckhater.
