Incorrect - that my friend is called desperation or needy if you stay with someone that is constantly looking for ways to hurt you, you need help!

My dear, you must look beyond the iron curtain of pride - Loving someone does not mean condoning them (prov27:6)
The thing is, true love doesn't fail. How is true love different to any old love?

Well, love is like a plant (sounds trite, I know) - if it is well founded, many storms will not destroy it. If you love someone because they are beautiful or kind, that's fine and dandy but your love is only a natural reaction (cupboard love, my nan used to call it). If you love someone because inside of all the crud and dirt you believe there is a diamond then your love will survive through thick and thin.

Does a loving parent bend to his childs' every whim? Does he allow his child to be aggressive and violent without consequences? Only blind love would, the erratic type of love nexus was referring to.
