Reason?: An emotional game that is the sequel to Drakengard 2, though it doesn't spoil anything. The storyline is that Nier, the father of his sick daughter, Yonah, works various jobs to keep his daughter as healthy as possible. One day, when she hears of a flower that can cure her illness, she leaves home to find it. After Nier returns from clearing creatures called Shades, he finds Yonah is missing and searches for her, finding her shortly in a place called the Lost Shrine. Here he meets Grimoire Weiss, a magical talking book that gives him the ability to use magic. After defeating several shades, and two statues, he takes his daughter back home. After that, the story goes on with him meeting Kaine, a foul-mouthed woman who is scantily dressed, and Emil, a boy cursed to turn anything he sees into stone, to find a cure for his daughter.
The graphics are great, being made by Square-Enix, the music is beautiful and sometimes exciting, the combat system is easy to use and the gameplay, while relying mostly on a fetch-quest mentality, is very good. The storyline is one of the best I have with three endings and one alternate.
