If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
The dink data on Ubuntu is in /usr/share/games/dink. I've gotten a lot of the dink stuff on Ubuntu figured out, so you can ask me if you have a problem. Don't know about cheat though. Sorry, I just don't use cheats (I'd rather spend hours cursing the game in language that would make a sailor cry...
