Reply to And I thought DN could be bad... ;)
If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
But all that I've seen on DN isn't half as bad as the thing I've witnessed on another forum I'm a member of. It was like WW 3 had begun: there was such a big fight that the whole forum exploded. Everybody was yelling and shouting and cursing at each other and threathening with both suicide and armoured attacks...
So what happened? Well, the owner decided she didn't wanted to do the job anymore and she handed it over to a staffmember, and he decided to 'restyle' the forum and fired the staff without telling them. So the staff got mad and told him so, then he got mad too and started yelling, and then everybody got fuming mad. And then the original owner decided to delete the complete forum. That's when I found out what happened: when I entered a blank screen. I thought it not correct that I hadn't got any message that I was deleted as member, but that was about it for me. I wasn't mad or sad (as the other were).
The fight continued for a day and then the complete forum was taken off the air, and the former staff decided to make a new one, and so they did.
But this new forum lacks... well, all sort of things, like good leadership and knowledge of what a forum is about and should be like. They don't know sh*t about programming (or HTML) nor do they know the most simple computer things. For example a searchbot. They thought they could keep the new forum 'secret' by not giving away the url, and when I told them about crawlers, they didn't even know what I was talking about. Heck, some don't even know what a provider or a browser is - and no, I'm not kidding!
Let alone that they know something about graphic programmes and the lot.
And it's not bad if you know nothing or very little about computers, but they brag they know everything about it, because 'they've got their own forum'. Yeah, yeah...
And the hard core said they would do everything democratically, but decisions have been made without me - or other members - knowing about it. I really don't think you should have a democratically lead forum, since it always should have a leader, a boss, but if you say you want to do everything democratically, then do it that way, and let everybody vote!
And now they've made a guy a staff member. Why? Because he always wanted to know what it's like to see other people's profiles! My god...
I had a good time on the old forum, and I wasn't pissed at all when the fight started, but now I am! They're all such stupid jerks - real stupid! Bragging about things they know nothing about while they keep going throwing mud at the owner(s) of the old forum, posting mails they received and posting complaints on other boards. Man, they really piss me off with such behaviour!
Well, that was my complaint for the day!
Thanks for reading it!
