I have a "sheet" I made that I use for shadows when I am making or changing a Dink sprite - you are welcome to have it - will email it when I get home 
To use it you just judge where you want the shadow (select the area/shape), copy the selected area and paste it in the right place on/under your new sprite... so easy and fast and dinkish and as it is the same as his other shadows, so fits right in.
