Yeah, but my point is that it can still be played during boot-up before the hardware has been initialised, though you would have to have something seriously wrong with your computer for it to play music on it while booting, as it has more important tasks. The speaker can get really loud, and is good at warning users of impending doom, or just a big nuisance if it thinks something is wrong when it isn't clearly obvious and just bursts out a siren until you stop doing whatever you are doing...
