Reply to Windinkedit dosen't run

Ok, many times when I try to run Windinedit, I get some error that
"Real Time Dink Smallwood Map Editor has encountered a problem and needs to close."
But the strange thing is, it dosen't happen everytime, but most of the times.
I have windows XP. Does that have anything to do with it?
