When the Marijuana plant was first discovered by his father, it was put to use in a similar way to how flax can be used to make bow string, only with clothing applications.
When the worlds first (and only) Marijuana clothing materials factory was burnt to the ground at the hands of vandals, the discovery of the plant's use as a smoke (like the Tobacco plant) after discovering its effects on nearby and high farm animals put any thoughts of using the plant for clothing out of anyone's heads, except for the lone survivor from the factory, who's clothing is made entirely out of drug plants.
His only spare piece of clothing being a pair of boots, he one day decided to sell them off so he could buy a new tree to block off his area, once he learned that it had burned down after seeing it on fire from a distance.
Little did he know that the perpetrator of such vandalism which caused the object that assisted his solitude payed for his unknown crime with money used to buy said herb boots.
