The Dink Network

I've tried many times to kill the slayer at the beginning of the game, but with NO luck?!
There's gotta be a trick to it, (short of cheating)?
This is the first time that I have played this game, and there's not much in the "file discussion" section.
Any advice, or tricks will be appreciated!

Aside from cheating, if there are no other monsters to train on that respawn, then there's no other method that I know of.

I haven't played that dmod yet, mind you.
