The Dink Network

Every time I save my game, my magic level
drops back to 4? It doesn't matter weather I fought my way up, or bought "purple potions", is this a bug, or is the game supposed to do this?
My other things stay the same, so, whats going on?

I'm not sure what was happening, but I did manage to get thru the d-mod (after 5 tries)
There IS an ending of sorts, but I won't spoil it for you; it's a bit dissapointing, but, still quite funny!
