Skipping Island of Dragons? And other questions.

In one FAQ (http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/dink_smallwood_a.txt) I read that it's optional to go there and kill those 2 dragons but I couldn't enter the castle without doing that first...

Also, is there any difference from the $100 and $25 elixirs?

Are the bombs useful as a weapon, say, against Seth?

What triggers the respawns of monsters in the game?

How useful is putting level points into Defense?

Are there any hardness errors or other glitches left in the game that would let me skip some parts of the game?

Can I sell my bow back to the seller after the Goblin Sanctuary?

Is there a way to remove midi lag during some screen transitions?

1) This shouldn't be possible. At least I haven't ever been able to skip this part.

2) Yes. The difference between them is 75$.

3) Haven't ever tried them against Seth, but I still think they are pretty weak as a weapon.

4) It's been controlled in their scripts. The monsters will respawn after 5, 3 or 1 minutes.

5) I'd say pretty useful. I usually add some points into Magic ability (So much that my Hellfire charges fast enough), and then I put some into Defense. Every defence point decreases the damage inflicted to you by 1, so it is pretty useful to spend some points into it.

6) I think not.

7) I think there isn't any way to sell it back. There still might be a shopkeeper in the Windemere, who might buy it back (Not sure about this.)

8) Use Dink v1.8, Aural+ to fix this problem.
