If your computer is crashing in the forest

From reading what other people have been saying and my own annoyance, I've come upon this.

It crashes because your sound card has problems when playing MIDI #22 after a few minutes. I don't think playing the song in general forces the computer to crash, since I can manage to listen to it in Windows Media Player. However, I have some solutions to the issue:

1) When you run DinkFrontEnd, disable the sound, then it won't play the MIDI

2) Probably the best way to fix this is to replace song #22 in the pota/music folder with some other MIDI, then you don't have to disable sound

3) If you're too lazy to do either of the above, then you can risk switching to slime form, and running as fast as you can to the church (just an idea)

Anyway, I guess certain sound cards can't correctly play the song. If the song doesn't play, then your computer won't restart. Hope this helped...even though the posts I've read about this subject are rather old.

I have played a great number of games without sound, and still completed them.

This worked, thanks! I replaced #22 with a MIDI file that I had that was similar sounding, and it worked like a charm. Didn't crash and restart my computer after that.

I wonder if this method will work with another D-mod that does that when I play it... find the file that's playing when it goes kaboom...
