i found an old icon and edited it with paint and saved as a bmp and i also added the correct lines to dink.ini but it still isnt showing up in my sprite menu why is that plz tell me

This is hard. It took me about three hours to get it. I was using two different tutorials and neither seemed to have the whole story. Just do what I did, and try EVERYTHING. You'll get it eventually.

do i have to make it static ?

Do you mean like that you sprites you've added doesn't show up in the editor sprite selection?

Hmm.. the last sequence used is 846, make sure you used 847 or higher, unless you want to overwrite one

Did you put -01 on the end of the BMP? I think I got caught out by that.
