Well, I just downloaded eDonkey 2000, and am having trouble connecting to any servers. Does anyone have any experience with eDonkey, or is there another p2p client you can recomend?

Use Kazaa. You can find nearly everything.

Soulseek is better for music though.

Hmmm... soulseek is giving me the cold shoulder too. Let me try telneting onto a MUD server to see if i can get a connection to a least something. It might be my firewall, even though i have the security off. WTF!?

EDIT: Also, I've been having some trouble with my phoneline, but if I can get online at all that shouldn't effect it right?

Well, my isp (compuserve) is owned by aol, has basicly the same service and similar service. I'd say, pretty much yes. But at least compuserve costs $30 less per month than aol.

AOL - You've got reamed!

So Compuserve pays you? Interesting...I'll have to look into that.

Kazaa sucks. It used to be good, but that was maybe a year ago. Too many fakes, bad searching, ...

Use torrents.

Torrents never work. Use DC++.

Yeah, it also had a lot of spy ware and adware. Plus, downloading pretty much anything with Soulseek is legal. I'm told.

Anyways, I just downloaded it at my mom's office, and it's working well. Yeah for the T1! W00t, ect. Too bad that my d/l speed is limited by the connection of whoever I'm downloading from.
