Maybe he collects them... one of my friends does. He walked with one of them good old 5.25 inch-floppys into a (modern) computer store. There he asked to some guy: "Hey, do you have a drive for these things?". Then the guy said: "Poor fella, here take this, free."

And then he got a 486 with CD-drive

I got them 'cause we got an upgrade in computers at our school, which they were giving away.
