png and alpha weirdness on screen change
I'm experimenting with png alpha and shadows with some grass sprites and have created various multiple clumps that I use to help break up the grass tile texture, but I noticed that sometimes the grass sprite sets almost hidden and sometimes the alpha edge is clearly visible. Haven't figured out why yet.
But... also when doing a screen change in DinkHD the grass sprite is almost highlighted as you scroll the screens when walking to the adjacent one. This seems to be more noticeable on horizontal screen changes than vertical.
None of this is happening in YOD, which is nice, but I wish DinkHD was also as good... I do prefer the text display in DinkHD to YOD, but very little else now...

Something else that I noticed a while back, which is a thin 1 pixel black vertical line between PNG sprites that have straight vertical edges and are touching. This is visible on wall sprites that I've made from exporting out a large wall and then cutting that image into 100x100 pixel sized sprites, matching the dimensions of the original walls, and then reconstructing the wall inside WDED+.
This is in DinkHD only, not YOD.
Using BMP versions of the same image and the issue disappears in DinkHD.
Turning off "Pic Smoothing" in the options for DinkHD also removes the issue, but the overall image quality of the screen suffers too much for me.
YOD has a slightly softer overall look than DinkHD, at least to my eyes, which I think helps.

I mentioned the black line thing to Seth a while ago and some other bugs too.
