Once again I need help. I can't figure out how to cut down the big tree. What can I use?

You use a sword.

To get it, you need a hilt.

To get that, you need a pie.

I have a pie, where do I get a hilt? Is the hilt the broken gun from down the well, if so, how do I make that into a sword?

Nah, the gun has nothing to do with anything, no use yet.

To get the hilt, talk to the penguin upstairs in the pillbug's house. If that makes no sense, make sure you beat the fire castle, get the fire bow, and free the pillbug.
