My top five SNES vgm's would have to be:

5: Breath of Fire II final battle
4: Lufia 2: Boss Battle theme
3: Terranigma Boss theme
2: Breath of Fire II Battle Theme 2
1: Final Fantasy V Decisive Battle (link to a remastering of it)

I categorize by consoles. SNES is just easier to list, it starts to get difficult to decide otherwise.

Dancing with DomZ- Beyond Good and Evil
Pokey/Porkey Means Business- Earthbound
Bloody Tears- Castlevania (Pretty much ANY version of Bloody Tears.)
Imbroglio- Shadow Hearts. (Never played the game, but I want to!)
Hymn of the Fayth: Bahamut- Final Fantasy X. (Probably one of the most peaceful in the game.)
Death Sword/Phantom Zant- LoZ: Twilight Princess.
Boswer's Rage and King of the Koopas- Paper Mario 64
Roar/Howl of the Departed- Lost Odyssey. (A VERY fitting battle theme for Gongora.)
Song of Healing, Midna's Lament, and Boss Room Calm- LoZ: Twilight Princess.
The Fierce Battle- Final Fantasy 6 (3 for the Snes).
Dancing Mad: Part 4- Final Fantasy 6
Zant Battle(s)- LoZ: Twilight Princess.
