This reminds me of a couple of other old computer things I've seen online. One is the MadMaze game (it only works in IE) from Prodigy, which my family used for a while. The other is sort of a reenactment of Usenet history called oldnews.net. It updates itself with old posts at their original time intervals. While I was trying to find that site again, I also found an '80s Usenet simulator called Telehack.
Ah, the good old days. I think of the '90s Internet era as kind of magical, from a user's point of view. I guess that's the nostalgia talking.
