Okay. This is not really a contest, but kind of a contest. I want to see who can come up with the most disturbing non-horror game music. Yes, such a thing exists as you can find Giygas' Theme (Not an actual song, so it would have been exempt from the contest) from Earthbound, or World of Nothing from Super Paper Mario.

The aforementioned themes are exempt from the contest. The person who has the creepiest non-horror video game will be the winner. You are winner if nobody can top your song. You may post another song if you believe it will help your chances. This is purely for fun and not to make oneself 'better' than the rest.
I will start the 'contest' with a simple choice: Majora's Incarnation

This is mild in comparison to others that I have heard, but this sticks out in my mind because you hear this after you fight Majora's Mask, which is a pretty epic theme. The moment where Majora's Incarnation comes about, your first thought is 'WTF?!' as it was mine. It's disturbing because it's subtle, it's very childish as was Majora's Mask throughout the whole game. Incarnation moves at a fast pace, which can be very disorienting, and flails around like a child in the throes of a temper tantrum. Now, Begin!

Ok, this one won't completely fill the requirements cause it's an adventure/horror game. But I feel that it's more of an adventure game anyway. Don't really care whether it's "allowed" or not.

Link. Ok, so it's not that scary or disturbing, but when you're playing the game, it has these real creepy whispering noises, and it makes you INSAANE.

I kinda think the Song of Storms is creepy, at least the remixes I hear in Grigori's Funhouse.

If it helps, you can go through the OSTs of your favorite games and find something that is just... off. Who are you is pretty creepy, especially in Final Fantasy 7. The first time I heard this, I felt a chill in my spine.

Majora's Mask was an unsettling game to be sure. It was fun, humorous like any other Zelda game but it had that downbeat tone to it. It never left your head, the feeling from the start that there was no hope for the people in that world. I would've linked that Majora's Incarnation music to this thread if you hadn't done so, it's so strange how perfectly it fits that particular fight

From World of Warcraft, I can recall one truly strange piece of music with some ducked up instrumentation. It plays during a memorable scene in a dungeon where you're being chased by the Lich King - the section I'm referring to is 0:56-1:23 in that video. It sounds epic and disturbing at the same time...

The music from Rule of Rose, an awesome psychological thriller kind of game and the music fits the atmosphere perfectly in a creepy way

Not bad, synbi. As for the others, the goal is one single non-horror game song, not a whole ost from what seems to be horror games just because it's the whole ost. Psychological thrillers are still horror.

Not bad for a first choice, ForumLurker, but you outdid that with Strains of Insanity. The second one I am very familiar with, especially when you are playing Chrono Trigger.

*Yawn* Arrange versions can be so boring, even when creepy. Sorry, ExDeath. You'd be hard pressed to find an arrange version that is as creepy or is creepier than the original.

I've given up figuring out what all these "arrange" tags even mean, really. They sound exactly like the original game tunes, so if it says arrange on a link called "Grim RobJ stealz za Cookiez" then all I can say is "Meh".

Well, an arranged version simply means that it's been played by real or simply different instruments. A rearrangement goes a bit further by also rearranging the pattern in which parts of the song are played, or add to it, etc. Those arranged versions of the Lufia songs certainly sound a lot different from the original games, instrument and ambience-wise.

By the way, my fave song in Lufia is this. Really got my heart pumping at the end of the game.
