If Dink was on ... what should the control layout be?
Sony PSP and iPhone
PSP and iPhone layout already decided.
Nintendo DS
DS layout should be : Face buttons and D-Pad function as on the PSP, the screen displays the games and touchscreen shows inventory and we touch an item to select it, that would be nice instead of the hassle of going into inventory, selecting, exiting.
Nintendo GameBoy (I doubt it's possible)
D-Pad to move, A for hitting, B for talking, L for inventory, R magic.
XBOX and XBOX 360
A for hitting, X for talking,B for magic, start for inventory, triggers for... uh ... bananas?
Your own suggestions for consoles I didn't mention are welcome

5 buttons should be enough to cover the essentials... Attack, Talk, Magic, Inventory, and the Escape Menu.
Sega Mega Drive:
A: Attack
B: Magic
C: Talk
Start: Enter
Not being able to use the escape menu would seriously suck though.
I don't think this controller would be good without changing how the game works.
