The Dink Network

Hi guys ... Here I am, stuck in Medlid! I have the red key but can't open the door of the small castle. I've tried "arming" it and hitting control, running Dink into the door from different directions, etc. but nothing has worked so far. Is there a trick to it? Or is there a work-around so I can continue playing the game? Thanks for any help.

Good grief! Figured it out. Dink stood in front of the gold block, holding the sword and not the key, and hitting the space bar did the trick. I'm sure I tried this before, but maybe Dink wasn't standing in exactly the right spot.
