Debug Bitmap
Okay this is a little tool designed to detect any bmps you may have created that aren't in 8-bit format.
It does do this, and the instructions are pretty easy to follow.
I ran in under WinMe without any problem.
But the real question is, "Will anyone use this dev file?" - Hmmm I'm not sure. The file that is outputted is rather large text file (although it's size does depend on the number of graphics your testing). I see it's major plus being in checking a DMOD's new graphics right before you either zip up the DMOD, or use ff create. The more graphics you have to check the more useful this tool may be.
Me, I use ACDSee and view my graphics with the details option, which lets me see if any of my graphics are not true 8-bit. This, for me, is a simplier option.
Also I think now that the source code has been released the whole issue of 8-bit and Dink palette will be ancient history.
Overall 7 out of 10
