whew! too boring in this place!

The place is the cave after the ice palace and after confrontation with shryke towards the end of pota. A few people, dragons, monsters, and some goblins that want to kill all the dragons. Lots and lots of wandering and fighting and re-visiting people and places trying to change something or get a reaction but......
The walkthru does'nt mention this part of the game. What am I missing? Thank you for any help you can give.
