Cant get to Citra, not strong enough to kill monsters for money, do have several oranges, have small sword and fire, level 5. HOw do I go on????

does anyone have any useful tips or guide on how to find the the goodheart castle ruins...i feel like i have been through the entire area like a million times....and i don't really get the whole mountain cave maze on the walkthrough.....pretty please....
