The Dink Network

Im trying to get hardness down...well better than I understand it now anyway. Im reading tutorials and using the video tut. My problem is when I'm trying to copy tile hardness. I get into that screen in WinDinkEdit and all I have is black squares with no hardness. Using page up and down just gives me more black boxes. Is there something you have to do to get the hardnesses to show up? If so, none of the tuts mention that little detail.

UPDATE: Nevermind...found the problem. Had a bad file.
