Nobody else on the board appears to have had this problem, but I've got 9/10 Raven staff pieces and can't work out how to get past the gate outside the pyramid... reading the story scripting there seems to be a key but I don't know where it is! Its really bugging me!

I can't help with that problem though, just making an useless comment.

There is a house one screen west of the pyramid. Enter it and push the bed aside. Go down the hole. Hit the chest to get the key.

You're welcome . I still remember when I first found the secret passage... I found it because the bookshelf inside the house gives a hint :

'There is a note here... 'I dug a secret tunnel to a glade in the Forest of Very Mad slayers'.'

Ah yes...I did read the note... but there's several glades in the forest, so didn't think anything of it!
