I would chose #7, because if you must change it, you may as well get rid of the Dink Floor on the sides. I still prefer the latest files and latest reviews being listed on the top, but thats just my humble opinion. The colors look good, but I think something a bit darker than baby blue would look better on the side bars. Good luck in the in the implementation.

why? I don't like the colours much, though I like Home 8 in a way, so if you could improve that just a little then it would be better than the current design. You just have to keep the current image at top (MUCH better) and the maybe the latest files and reviews on top... I like them on top... well actually I don't care.

Well, they're a great improvement over the old ones!
I like them both, but the whitish colour on the sidebars of 8 is way too white; you can't even read the text.
7 is very nice since the colours are all adjusted.
If I had to choose between them as they are, I would defintely go for 7.
If 8 would have another colour for the sidebars, I had to decide again.

Hrm, try refreshing. Its perfectly readable for me... the backgrounds on the side bars are the same dark-floor as is in the current design.

I personally like current the best, then #8, then #7. Something about that periwinkle and baby blue is just too pretty and happy for dink... like it should be a color scheme for a Beanie Babies fanpage.
(No offense.) And as long as that logo gets tweaked, I think #8 is grrrrreat. Something about the whole sword/pumpkin/orange thing doesnt sit right with me.

I still pick 7, but it is the color that the news is on that I don't like. Could you possibly make the whole page the same color as the side bar, and use the lighter blue just to highlight each news Title instead of the news itself? That I think would look more cohesive and profesional. Its just the large blocks of light blue that I don't like, a smaller dose would be okay. What do you think?

Yeah, thats sorta like how I like them too. It seems to me that number 8 could use a lighter color floor tile on the right side, as it clashes a bit too much. or mayby its just me....
All in all, its a great improvement over numbers 1-6, but its not as great as this one.

I like 8, again because 7's colors are so light. But in either case, I think one thing you could do to improve the look is somehow connect the right bar to the top bar, even just a strip of sidebar color/pattern across the top.

Hey! Did you delete 1-6? i actually liked the black border in 2 or something... you should put something dark in number 7.

If you use the CORRECT ( ) 24-hour "system" in the "events", each entry will fit perfectly in their lines.
And... i like 8.07 better than 7 and 8.08, because it's a bigger change, i guess... but when you change the colors a bit, and add something dark, like the border in 8.02 (i think), it will look very good.
Also, you can make the upper-right corner blue, so we all can remember the old design (actually to connect the right bar and the top bar with a nice color..).

If you use the CORRECT (
) 24-hour "system" in the "events", each entry will fit perfectly in their lines. And... i like 8.07 better than 7 and 8.08, because it's a bigger change, i guess... but when you change the colors a bit, and add something dark, like the border in 8.02 (i think), it will look very good.
Also, you can make the upper-right corner blue, so we all can remember the old design (actually to connect the right bar and the top bar with a nice color..).
You could put some account stuff in the right bar.
Also i think "Something" should go after "Downloads".

persoanlly, i like the current design best. ten design no. 8. the thing which i think should be improved iun no. 8, is the way the right hand messages bar shows up so suddenly in contrast to the blue... (does that mnake any sense?? (ballydooly cider, sorry guys))
