Poll: 75 full reviews
I was wondering which Dinker is most likely to be the first one to review 75 full reviews. So far nobody has done it yet. Many would vote for me, but don't count on it. 
If I were to vote it would be bin b/c I knew he came out of nowhere and now is trailing by 6 full reviews instead of 42 (before some of my reviews got deleted). I used to have a 22 full review lead over iceman (formerly imacrazyguy), but now it seems it's going to be a close one. I don't know why, but it reminds me of a penant race or something.
Does anybody know how bin got his name. I hope it's not what I think it is?

The awnser is Bill Carlin, and no one cares, not like it's a bug milestone, or you get anything special.

No, of course not! My full name is Binirit, but when I opened an account, I discovered that name was already taken. Since I had no idea at that time how everything was working on the network, I just abbreviated it and signed in as bin. If I had known about names and capitals used on this board, I would have choosen a different abbrev. And I really didn't give it a second thought and I only discovered the resemblance untill someone pointed that out to me. And then I was rather shocked, since it never ever had crossed my mind.
But since I thought account names can't be changed, I never undertook any action. But now I know names can be changed, cause Iceman did too.
And this is the second time the question arose about my name - at least, as far as I know. It could wel be that others have been asking the same question.
So I think it's best to change it, because I'm not really comfortable with that name either.
Redink, can that be done? I don't fancy the name either, since it is, to start with, not even my real name. And I don't want any more question about that name.

No, no name changes, we made a expection with imacrazyguy because he was p**sing us off every friggin second of the day with "WC, whats my pass" and "Please change my name". Seriously, he would not shut up. We were in the process of sending Dukie down there to take care of him, but then redink caved. We still regret it to this day and wish we would have banned him.. :D

I do have a very valid reason to have my name changed, WC. I think that if anyone has a valid reason, it is me.
I don't want any more questions about that name - said or not said on the board. Like I said, I had no clue when abbreviating my name that it had any resemblance. I couldn 't care less if it was any other name, but now several questions have arisen, I do want it changed.

In my opinion, it is ridiculous that bin wants to change his name. If some stupid people want to draw silly conclusions from a resemblance in your name to somebody else's, let them. It's got no relevance whatsoever.
However, I think that bin has much more of a right to a name change than anyone else (apart from the unfortunately named WC). From imazrazyguy to iceman? What was the point? At least bin has a valid reason.

SabreTrout is right. Chage bin's name if thats what he wants. While you're at it change the crazyiceguy's name again, and make him beg for the new name like he had to for his password. We could use the entertainment.

Yeah, change bin's name to whatever he wants and change the imaicecrazyguyman's name to something horrible, like Swellpuss or Boilnose!

Eh, that didn't come out just as I wanted it to. What I meant is that he may not have posted an answer for the poll, but he didn't stray from the topic discussed in the poll, so you're getting angry for no reason as far as I can tell.

Binirit has a right to change his name. I agree with ehasl, The Trout, and TrayC on this subject. If Binirit wants to change his name he should change it immediately. WC would only accept it if redink1 puts a foot up his A S S for not being fair. I know that redink1 will change it. He is usually fair to everybody and treats Dinkers with respect. So I shouldn't worry too much about it. Even Jamie changed his name. So a new improvement to DN would have the capability of changing your name and pass.
That is all I have to say, I may or may not be warned or flamed for this but it's worth the risk in helping out a friend.

Are you kidding me? Everyone would be changing their names monthly if not weekly, and flame wars would get worse. And as far as Bin changing his name...why? I see nothing wrong with the name and associate him more with his great file and his standing as a good guy in the community.

Hey Dethlord, you need to mind your own bussiness, and don't tell me what to do. I can't change names, only RedInk can, and I wouldn't if I could. I Agree with PureEvil everyone and their mother is going to be changing their names if we keep it up. Bin is a nice guy, but I think we need to stick our guns here. So DethLord, STFU and stop acting like our little world revolves around you. Oh, and no swearing, you are not exempt from the rules, this is you first warning, don't do it again.

1) Changing a username isn't as simple as editing a text-box and hitting submit. Very serious things can go wrong.
2) WC can't change people's usernames. Well, I think it is possible, but he has a chance of messing things up even more than if I did it, because he has to use the web interface.
3) I've already talked to bin about this, and I decided that I'd change bin's name during the move to Miasma v2, when less things could go wrong.
4) Changing Jamie's username was a mistake, and I never should have done it. I know, I agree that bin's reason to have his name changed is 1,000,000 times greater than Jamie's. But I've realized it isn't worth the risk after doing it once.
5) I could build a change-username functionality into Miasma v2, but I will not. Once Miasma v2 is fully installed (and after bin's name is changed) there will be absolutely no more name changes.
