I can't seem to get them.... i go to the beach where you walk across to an island or something, but i just fall in the water and die.
Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Be careful where you walk, don't walk straight to them, as there is quick sand and deep waters either side.
Ok from what i've noticed if you get to close to the water where theres no 'shallow water' you'll fall in and die...i must admit it scared and cnfused me the first time...
As for getting the boots - Have you killed the scorpian?? cause thats what ya need to do
then when you get to the island be careful of the quicksand...look at the sand carefully...you should be able to see a sorta...swirl like thing in the graphic...avoid that and you'll be cool
