As much as I would like to have an entry for the jam, I have never made a map from scratch before, I'd be rewriting a whole lot to include new ideas. Things I just can't do as a novice Dmodder in a couple weeks, but I had this idea for a story beat in rewriting Dink's Origin Story.

Making Martridge more proactive in developing Dink as a warrior. That wizard in the secret ice castle said that the Smallwood bloodline has some special meaning, but I don't think I've seen anything else regarding that unresolved plotline. So my thought was, to bring Dink to some kind of Mage collegiate to tell him about his heritage, but on the way in, a relic from the past, a dragon's nail is drawn towards Dink and embeds itself into his right arm. It was drawn to the Smallwood bloodline and was recovered from the body of his great grandmother, Namink Smallwood.

The nail drains a bit of Dink's vitality in exchange for muscle memories of his great gran's magic. (My explanation for the Evolving Magic and the Magical Keybinds) Martridge and the other mages would tell Dink that the nail's existence is an anomaly. No-one's sure why this nail behaves like that, but some speculate that Namink tampered with it to tap into the innate magical power of the Dragons.

This magical ability would also tie back into incorporating the Bow Plus tweaks, making it so Dink's arrows when fired at the right time, (hence the spark) is imbued with the piercing capability demonstrated in the preview mod.

It would later be revealed Namink'd done it to prepare a descendant in the future to protect Careus, the Earth, from the corruptions of the Diseñadores, the Ancients.

Probably a load of quack, usually my ideas would be worked on over months, but I thought there might be a nugget or two to chew on in there.

Personally i've always quite liked the open-endedness. Gives a sort of Twin Peaks Black Lodge sense of things to it.
