You'd think I'm late with this thread, but you'd be wrong. Ever since redink1's random appearance where he came by and integrated social networking sites into the Dink Network, I PMed him initially wondering if he's going to ban me.

He will not. In fact, he offered to have the Steam Group stickied and Partnered after I had asked him since I noticed someone ask if redink1 could make a group. I am immediately reminded of this thread. I originally posted in the same thread if we could just work a trade and I could demote myself.

No answers.

Then just this morning - I'd say around 6:00 AM; I was up for a thousand hours doing practically nothing - a message box popped up that I didn't expect to see in a million years. It was a Group Announcement posted by Quiztis (Captain Donut) expressing that he had also talked with Dan (I believe) about the same stuff.

Now that I got all that information out of the way, let's see if I can type another thousand paragraphs while still wondering if it'll get removed even though it is clearly far from my pointless spamming!

Part One It's no secret I'm not wanted here. I know. All hate towards me deserved. But don't worry. I don't plan on posting much at all. In fact, if this thread gets removed, I'll probably just find another way to convey the whole message. Since it's been a while since redink1 replied to me, it could be years more for him to re-awaken. So let's just do this here and now.

Part Two If I am not replaced, which I still elect to be if you're all rightfully confused as to why someone who's been spamming for 5 years runs the Steam Group without everyone dropping off, I plan to organize more and consistent contests. I know not when I could, but I would. That Team Fortress 2 Contest was pretty neat. If I am, hopefully whoever takes over will do the same.

Part 3 Screw the Group Forum. What to do for the realization of a cleaner, more organized board? Just type down what comes to mind. I really don't know. There's different sections, but I'm not too good at organizing stuff like this. It's weird. No poll for this one.

So I guess that's it. If this thread doesn't get eaten, then I'll just leave it as is for now.

Definitely choose a different admin if you know what's good for you; always better to have someone in charge who you can trust to not throw a temper tantrum somewhere down the line, and take a crap on everyone.

I'm not sure how Steam works, though. Is it even possible to remove the first admin, or will they always have some kind of founder status? If it's an in-name-only demotion, it's as good as nothing.

Thankfully, I avoid using Steam as much as I can, and have little cause to come anywhere near this group.

I've never tried. I can't see why I wouldn't be able to demote myself or just rank someone to admin and demote me.

Still, we'd need more votes. I'd still like to throw together a contest every now and then and send off a present to the winners.

You need to leave the group and someone else will be appointed admin. No way to change ownership in settings. You can be invited later again as a regular member.

I don't want to vote cuz I'm very forked about it. One thing, Skorn could get his mind together and start being an active admin there and post here regularly and stop spamming.

If he can't tell himself to do any of those things, even one, then please for the love of all that's dinky, change admin.

As for the dumb poll #2, I have a plethora of game prizes and servers for some contests ready. That I'm happy to share with you. IF the admin is of proper material.

Quiztis, you're an officer right now, I believe. Perhaps admitting you to admin would allow you to demote me?

I already plan on being more active on the group as long as I have stuff to contribute. For now, I don't think I have anything. The DN though? Apart from posting in a thread normally without being deleted, not yet.

A plethora of games? Reminds me of this one guy I saw who had a crap load of Garry's Mods in his inventory.

Entirely up to you, I can admin the Steam group if you want. I won't do anything useful now if you won't step up properly anyway.

I think I'll pass on that question for the community to answer... There are 32 members of the Steam group and I've barely heard what they think yet.

If no one gives their opinion then you can run the group without me.

I left the steam group because of this stuff.. sighs power trips bore me.

As an ex member here are my thoughts - ignore as u will...

1. Scorn was asked to stop spamming this forum - he agreed and has not done so since - not once. He kept his promise! Others here have had more than one chance - why not him?

2. He has never spammed the steam group - not once - therefore why does he have to pay there for something that hasn't ever happened? Why bunch the two together. It seems to me (and sorry quiz) but its just you that appears to be upset by this yet it was him that allowed u admin rights - yet u back stab him.. i dont get that

3. it was his idea to start the group and it used to work well under his leadership till power plays started. It can again.

4. He wants to do things to get the group going again (hasnt happened while he did nothing either i may add...) wants to get it going, competitions, etc, why is that an issue - i would think it could draw in more members

Since Skorn is an unstable member obviously, if he could act properly and become a decent member of our community, that's great! You seem to think I want power when I have thoughts on leaving the group as it will be promoted here because of the current admin. Did you even read the announcement, MsDink? All I want is for the community to decide if it's OK for Skorn to be admin. You can't separate these installations (steam group, DN) as they'll be partners now.

Just to clarify, I elected to allow the community both on here and Steam to discuss whether they want me to administrate or not. There's no battle of power going on here.

good to see the steam group get mentioned but can any of you ask seth if he wants to add dink smallwood hd to steam greenlight ?i think its worthy of being on steam there are a lot of free games on steam now.

The group on steam would make a lot more sense to use if we had dink smallwood on steam as well. i tried asking seth on twitter a few times no replies.

btw you can also add dink smallwood as a non steam game and works great surprisingly aka you can chat with others while playing and screenshots

That is a good idea. I remember we had that plan going a while back and it didn't work out. I'd like to be able to add Dink as an associated game, though.

Probably not HD, though.

Seth seems to only appear for business, but this should count. It would likely give us too much of a member increase if people noticed it enough, however.

The reason why i mentioned HD was it has a better chance of getting in . apart from not being compatible with a few dmods its a great way to introduce people to the game dink smallwood

Introduce them to a broken version of the game? Probably not.

DinkHD works fine for the original game. That's really what you should introduce people to anyways.

I'm going to go ahead and give this a week or something before I just do whatever, I suppose.

Inactivity is to be expected since the game is not on steam, nor anything new is happening with the game ,we need something new to happen with dink to get people active and interested or else,its going to be a ghost town

But when something happens, nobody does anything.

Now delete this. It's going nowhere and won't be.
