Okay, the old dilemma. Do you put the cream on first or the jam?

I don't eat scones; you're British, so you should know how to do that. But I'd start with stuff that doesn't make it impossible for other things to stick. That rules out cream, but it possibly also rules out jam, depending on how you apply it.

I didn't even know those two things went on scones. I just treat them like cookies and dip them in milk.

5) Anything else seems wrong. Scones = strawberry jam.

Got something against cake!? Also I might prefer scones by themselves or with delicious chocolate sauce.

Jam first, then a dollop of cream on top. I prefer honey, or rich thick sugar cane syrup on my scones.
