Don't say that! I, if anyone, was a crappy D-Mod maker. I think I've made more D-Mods rated under 2.0 than anybody else. Yet, after a few years, people voted my D-Mod the best of the year.

Be patient, and don't go into making D-Mods with a negative attitude like that. That's a guarantee it won't work out.

Hmm..
You really don't have to be clever to make a dmod! Time and patience is all you need, it might seem hard at first but it'll all make sense soon enough!

Have you tried Robj's video tutorials? You might find them easier to follow!

EDIT:

Oh, those were the ones you had... sorry..
How about An introduction to DMOD making ?
That's how I learnt!

Just mess around with everything until you learn. That's what I did. I messed around a lot and learned quite a bit.

Also, if you don't have the DinkC reference, you should get that. It's super helpful.

The world could always use more heroes
When I first decided to make a D-Mod I thought it was gonna suck. But I put a lot of effort into it. I read through a lot of scripts from other D-Mods, and used the DinkC Reference as well as The Rudiments of Scripting. And when my first ever D-Mod was released, it was quite the success.

Learning DinkC isn't terribly difficult. In fact, most of it is pretty simple, but some of it does require some trial and error. All it takes is patience, and a little bit of OCD to fuel perfectionism.

Making Topics off-track faster then you can say it
when I first started making Dmods, I only got sprites and copied scripts down, since I can't find the script library or anything, so you don't need to be smart to make it, in my classmates words I am alot of things including stupid.
