FACT! the less religious countries are happier and more stable
its a proven FACT that least religous contries are more stable and happier(Norway Denmark Sweeden Czech republic finland estonia) and on the other end of the scale(afganistan iraq iran egypt saudi arabia)
Ever heard of Dubai? What Afghans practice is not Islam IMO. Saudi Arabia isn't so bad. I have relatives who live there. I don't know about Persia or Egypt.
I thought Dubai was bankrupt?
Wrong. Predator, All countries are having some major religion.
By the way, duckhater, Afghans aren't bad either. You're generalizing. They're defending their country - what does the US want poking around in there? Don't you count that US soldiers are killing Afghani villagers calling them terrorists? Besides, Afghanistan's the only country that has always been loyal to Pakistan, so I respect its people a lot

Yea but sweden is like 85% atheist and it's like what, the country in best shape right now?
I'm speaking more on the lines of having a stable society, Leprechaun...
No, this is why I don't like Afghanistan much...
I don't mean to offend anyone BTW. And, no. I don't think most Afghans support this... But, they still haven't got rid of it.

So it's stably bankrupt?
What Pred meant by ''Stable'' was that it had a society that's peaceful or atleast that's what I thought.

Most rape victims don't like being raped... but they still got raped, didn't they. Nice logic, mate.
What about this one for non-religious countries: North Korea is predominantly non-religious. Of course this means it must have one of the best quality of life rankings in the world, because less religion = more happiness in direct contradiction to evolution and the importance of spirituality in human development, because blindly accepting the declarations of atheists is the sure path to your' salvation and continued enjoyment of life.

All the people apparently know about it. There was proof that that practice was still(secretly) happening. The authorities deny it even exists and refuses to do anything.
I think it's more about the attitude of tolerance in these countries, which is directly reflected in more people quitting organized religion (and not being terribly chastised for it). Being aggressively pro-atheist would probably be as bad as being aggressively pro-religion (or worship of the ruler of your country, which is basically the case with North Korea =).
In Finland/Sweden/etc, even the primary religion, Lutheran christianity, is super laid back. It's not atheism that makes these countries happier and more stable, but freedom of belief.

If you'll only look at the (smaller) dark side of a country, you'll never like any of them, duckhater. In fact, that post is worthy of Pred.
I guess I am wrong for generalising a whole country.
Yeah, Super laid back summarizes it very well.
Atheism in itself is a religion. If you're not religious, that doesn't automatically make you an atheist. I'm not an atheist, and I'm not religious. I guess you could consider me a non-caring agnostic. I don't know and I don't really care.
To quote a religious discussion from another site:
"(A)gnostic describes knowledge, (A)theist describes belief. All four combinations exist:
Agnostic theist is someone who isn't sure there's a god but believes there is
Gnostic theist is sure there's a god, and believes it (of course!)
Agnostic atheist isn't sure there's no god, but does not believe there is
Gnostic atheist is sure there isn't, and of course believes themselves
Gnostic describes knowledge (or claims of knowledge), theist describes belief. Words are fun!
EDIT: Atheist does NOT mean "believes there is no god". It means "Does not believe there IS a god". Which is an important distinction. The commonly used meaning of the word agnostic can be expanded to agnostic atheist. That is, somebody who isn't sure if there's a god or not, and doesn't have belief that there is ("I dunno!"). Lack of belief (atheism) is the middle ground, antitheism is the opposite to theism, believing there is no god. A gnostic atheist is an antitheist."
As such, Atheism is not a religion, it is a lack or belief. If you don't believe in anything, you are agnostic atheist. It's the gnostic atheists that most people think atheists are.

Apatheist = Don't really care if there's a god or not.

Nice to know some do then ... I guess

hehehehehe.
Apparently, Mutual Rape is a thing. Some families are ducked up.
How does mutual rape work?
I guess someone is desperate for sex and allows it. Or maybe they have some weird fetishes.
But that be consensual, not rape.
and the prize goes to .... dun dun duuunnnnn LEPIEEEE clapping, whistling yay - crowd goes wild!!
From now on when people ask about my sex life I'll refer to it as my mutual rape life.
First: I don't think most Afghans support this... But, they still haven't got rid of it.
Then: Most rape victims don't like being raped... but they still got raped, didn't they. Nice logic, mate.
After that: Nice to know some do then ... I guess
The secret revealed: Sarge.

It may have been 'consensual rape'. Point is, walking the fine line between some fandoms normal comics and the R34 comics is more difficult than you would think, and occasionally I find myself reading an otherwise perfectly normal comic that has taken a turn for the worse. In one particular line, the first thing I read indicating it was taking said turn was "I thought we agreed we would no longer take part in consensual rape."
Is there really such a thing as a religious country?

The church should never control the economy, government and state.
