New D-Mod: Dink's Quest in the Icelands
The Notorious S.K.O.R.N. has released his first D-Mod: a demo version of Dink's Quest in the Icelands.
Can it match the quality of Skorn's other files? Play it to find out!

I came, I saw, I said "Pfft! Pathetic thing doesn't deserve a review". But review it I shall.
EDIT: Review submitted (and modified after a minute). Good day.

Let's hope it surpasses his standard of work.

Well, that was surprising, real short, yes - full of hardness issues, not much to do, but I feel if there was more than one day spent on creating this, it could actually become quite a fun dmod. I like the humor and think story has potential.
Keep going Skorn... you can do Eeeet!

I've submitted a review. Hopefully Skorn will have something to say about all this. I think the title is pretty dumb though. It should be "Ice Lands", as I thought it was the country he was referring to.
no offence to skorn, but how dis this get accepted? its no where near finished! to be frank its no where near started either. the humour has skorn written all over it.
I laugh at the fact that he cannot post due to Redink's Mute-power.
Yeh, it should be in the Unfinished section.
Indeed, in relation to Skorn's other files, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.
There is light at the end of a long, long tunnel.

When reading the reviews I noticed that atleast 2 peoople couldn't get the golden heart. It's possible to get there. Just squeese yourself in from below between the water and the line of trees.
I just can't believe how skorn can get so much attention, 3 reviews in a couple of hours?
Yeah, you find bad files often doing that.
like abc... ?
I guess... But it really shouldn't be that way, let us all start reviewing the good files!
I agree. It's time to practice my reviewing skills again.
But reviewing takes effort, and effort is bad.
Effort is good, unless you use it to create something like ABC...
Effort is bad, effort starts wars. If everybody was lazy, no-one would show up for work in the army.
If everybody was lazy everybody would be dead right now since there would be no one taking care of water, food and everything else needed for survival.
Oh, yeah. I forgot you humans needed that to survive.
I guess... But it really shouldn't be that way, let us all start reviewing the good files!
Actually, reviewing good files is also done very often, just look at the amount of reviews DMODs like Pilgrim's quest and Stone of Balance have. Reviewing mediocre DMODs... That's a different story.

A lot of people on the board seem to dislike "Skorn" for various reasons, blah blah blah
Was that totally necessary to be included with a game review - come on people - geesh there is no need to get so personal. That's there forever unless someone takes it of.

Of course it was necessary. If you don't like someone you're obviously not going to act impartial. So be it if it's there "forever".
Many people loathe Skorn. Don't try to deny that. What about that thread getting "signatures" for a ban? They're not necessarily going to give glowering, positive reviews. (Or even a review with a low score with positive remarks.) They're going to use this opportunity to attack him however subtly they would like.
If you don't act impartial, you're more than likely to find faults and make personal comments towards that person and whatever works they express themselves with.
Politicians start wars, and the armed forces blindly follow.

Question: I've seen Skorn lurking the forums but he hasn't posted anything for a while. Is he just giving some of us the "silent treatment" or is he the "them" that Ms.Dink was referring to, which may or may not be "them"? Give me some answers people, I need to know whether or not I should have my Skiffs ready for quick deployment.
Not impartial? Wow - you should be if you are reviewing files cause I think the operative word here is FILES not personalities. If you cant be impartial you shouldn't be attempting to review anything cause I for one don't wanna know how u feel about someone I wanna know what others think of the file and is it worth my HD space
EvilEarl ya little digital monster you - you beat me to post lol... as to the THEM - try looking up - you should read instead of just talking (2 ears 1 mouth) Sure that was so we listen twice as much as we talk Answer has already been clarified in this very thread

That rules out Skorn for being one of "them". It has to be someone else on the DN, probably with poor english since they use lingual best-fits.
Skorn is kinda muted so he can't post anything. That's what ExDeath said anyway.
"What about that thread getting "signatures" for a ban?"
That, sir, would be my doing.
Also, it requires effort to make something like ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ? Not much.

Actually incorrect - he can post Just we cant see it that's why threads have inconsistent numbering ... its not really wrong - just - we cant see em
Unless Skorn is using a proxy to hide his IP. I doubt he's smart enough to do that.

If everybody was lazy everybody would be dead right now
If everybody was lazy, they would just get what they needed to survive. of course, being lazy would mean they wouldn't need to consume as much and there would be plenty for all.
then someone would decide that lazy wasn't good enough and that comfy is better, so there's a few ways to resolve that:
1 - Claim to be a god, resulting in your' worshippers doing the work and you reaping the benefits.
2 - Make them slaves. Better yet, single out a minority group and convince your' peons that they were created to work for you. This is more along the lines of Socialism, where everyone can get slaves. You convince the hordes that giving you executive power is somehow essential for their' pleasure.
3 - Get up and spend your' life slaving away, hoping to amass enough treasure to live in relative comfort for the few remaining days of your' life.

He did that the very first time he was banned though, so appearantly he is.
