To scratcher - The new version of Alt Heroes is out, are you gonna check it out and change your review?

Simonk - I don't know if your review is for the newest version or not, if not, can u try the improved one?

My review was for the old version, and I've read the new version. I'm not going to change the review at this point, although the new download includes some sample scripts, as I still feel you missed on dealing with push_active(0); which needs to be in the beginning or Dink will reappear when the player pushes objects, and crawling thru holes should get a mention.

Also instructions on changing the magic and weapons scripts should be in there. As both deal with loading alternate graphics for the magic and normal hits, swords etc.

You could just say, dont use these scripts... but it would be easier to point out which lines they should comment out to turn these graphics off. :o

Even so I liked the document, both the original and the second one. I think they achieved your stated goal as far as I'm concerned - I've started thinking about doing a DMOD with an alternate hero. :p

And your new junior eye is very cool! I started making a d-mod with him as the hero, and then noticed that you said you my do the same! I may, may not finish it, but it wont't be very long even if I do!

Hey first one in best dressed - Mind you I'm thinking of doing magic, idle, push and crawl (read getting sucked into...) a hole graphics for mine so it'll take longer! But the story is what I wrote earlier so don't do that (Eyeball goes into town has to kill people, then battle Dink as the final end boss.)

Bugger! That was essentially what I was doing, but never mind. I'll think of something else...

I'm just downloading the creeping sands, so hopefully that will be good.

I was also thinking of doing a d-mod using the orc/troll guy from Lost in Dink as the main character, but I'm not sure.

Any suggestions for a character people?

No, not as in 'Oh, my GOD', but how bout creating a godlike character.... something as in... well, I forgot in which games you play god, but something like that: you'd have to make sure that the weaponry gets iron and the butcher gets his meat (you have to kill pigs or whatever) and ofcourse someone is not letting you so you'd have to kill that evil force as well.

Well, just an idea... ;)
