: : 1) I made a void main(void) with 17 create_sprite(); but only 16 show on screen. Its not that there are 99 sprites on screen, there less, but still no. 17 wont show on screen. The text he's supposed to say DOES show however. Rest of the script runs fine too.
: : Any idea how come?
: : 2) If none of the sprites need to move, is it necessary to give 'm sp_base_walk(); and
: : sp_speed(); and to use freeze();?
: hmm.....Did you assign them a brain?, I know if you give one a brain that it doesn't have the sprites to use, it will sometimes dissapear. (e.g. a fairy with br. 16) If none are moving, NO brain , speed, or base_walk should be used. Also make sure you aren't using sp_nodraw ( well o.k., I guess that was too obvious...). With windinkedit v.9 I had sprites do odd things like that,( I usualy think my computer is possesed...) just in case, try placing it with a diffrent editor, like wde v.8 or even (gasp!) the original editor.
No brains are attached (I know that can do funny things! :) I made a house with furniture and stuff, and the next time I gave it look, there were all those cheerfully girls dancing around :p Yeah, I picked up here and THEN decorated the house, so everything had a brain!)
And I am using the original editor... (scratch on head... ;) ) is that a bad thing? :p wondering who are using that one still... (I'll post that as a new message, I'm curious who are.)
