POA problem.

I finished the original dink and downloaded POA. I appropiately unzipped the file into a folder called Prophecy. I then put the folder under the dink smallwood directory like I was supposed to. Then I opened up dinkfrontend and fired up my new d-mod. When I opened up the d-mod it chunked a bit, the "loading" screen loaded and then I was put into the "start new", "continue" screen. However, the screen was black. But I still new where the "start new" button was supposed to be. So I clicked on it. Dink was in a normal house, just like in the original dink. But, when I looked to the bottom half of my monitor, (the place that shows your attack, magic, experience etc.) there was nothing but blackness. So I did some exploring. I went into every house there was. The houses I wnet into were either empty, or had a person in it. I couldn't talk to the persons. Also, I went into that underground place and there was a man wearing green clothes. I went up to him trying to talk to him but nothing happened. So I went on into the place. Whenever I saw a monster and tried to attack it, nothing happened. Also, I could walk straight through the monster and take no damage. So I got outta this place. I tried reading the signs that told you the names of the places, but I couldn't do that either.

Can someone relate to this problem or tell me what I am doing wrong? :(

First, change the folder name from Prophecy to POTA. And when you run dinkfrontend make sure the box with "run with this dmod" is checked. Then go to the bottom of dinkfrontend and click on the dmod name. It should show the full name even though the folder is abbreviated. Other than that I can't think of any reason you're having problems. Hope this helps.

khm.. heh.. open your new POTA folder, and check if it contains a STORY folder. if not, you do probably have another folder there, named "Prophecy" or something. move that one to your main Dink directory, and start the game again. :)
