When will everybody drop the whole theprophet and coolguy situation. ;) I knew they were two different people since day one. It's b/c theprophet's real name is Martijn and Coolguy's real name is Rick. So they must be two different people. :) Actually they are friends. ;) redink1 did an ip check and they are NOT the same people.  :o I hope that answers your question. :)

: No, but you should stop picking on dinkers, like ehasl and SabreTrout and mind your own business.

Another few things I just feel I have to say, don't get upset by these remarks, but it's just the way I see it...

The tone of your comment (VERY difficult to establish tone on the internet, but still...) makes you sound like a little boy wanting sympathy, especially that you "expect" us to ask you to leave. We won't do that, because you have as much right to be a dinker as the rest of us.

I feel that you should simply get on with your d-mod, and treat this week or 2 as a learning experience. Don't have any cheap shots at people, leave that to me and ehasl (the experts).

I'm willing to forgive, if not forget, what has happened, but you seem to insist on blaming me and ehasl, when clearly, we have not been at fault.

Thank you people, let us all stay together, and may Jamie see the light :)

I haven't been on the Dink Network for that long (something like no newbie anymore, but not yet a full grown Dinker) but since I've visited the board and read all those messages, I couldn't help wondering why those Dinkers posted messages saying 'Should I leave' or why they are seem to have some trouble getting along.

I will not say HE or HE or SHE is right or wrong about this or that. I honestly believe that everybody has a right to his opinion and to say it. Not long ago, someone described me as a person who would say: 'I do NOT agree with you, but I will fight to my death for YOUR right of saying what you want.' And I do believe in that. With one exception: that you should respect eachother, and that means, as far as I'm concerned, that you ofcourse can say whatever you want, but before saying anything take a look at yourself and wonder how YOU would feel if someone said THAT (the thing that you are about to say to someone else) to YOU.

Perhaps you still will say it, but perhaps you find out you wouldn't like it when it's said to you... and then you don't say it. Or perhaps you still WILL (rephrased or not), but then respect the others reaction.

Criticism is allright, because you can learn from that. And different kind of opinions are allright too. If everybody would be exactly the same, the world wouldn't be as much fun. Yeah... some playful quarreling and even a though discussion can be fun too, as long as it's not ment to intentionally hurt the other.

If you've said something and it DID hurt the other, just apologize. Everybody can make mistakes and there's no law against saying 'I'm sorry' ;) . You still have your own opinion and you DO NOT apologize for having THAT, but for the fact that you unintentionally said a certain thing in a certain way that hurt someone else.

And if people really don't get along, which can always occur, than just agree on that. Once I just couldn't stand the sight of someone I had to work with and the feeling was mutual, so finally we agreed that we both had that feeling, said it was ok, because you can't like everybody in the entire universe, and agreed that we would still work together but would say only the most necessary things and would be polite - nothing more, nothing less. The fact that we agreed that we had at least agreed on the ONE point we could agree on (that we hated eachother guts!) made it a bit better - workable.



We are all Dinkers, but we are also different kind of people: every one of us. But the one thing that connects us all is THIS, the Dink Community. And everybody who joined, wanted to because he likes Dink.

So the only reason I can think of for somebody to leave on his own free will, is if he doesn't like Dink anymore or if he has some new aims in his life in which Dink no longer plays a part.

Everybody has got a right to be a Dinker, because otherwise this network wouldn't be here and otherwise you couldn't make an account for free if you want to join.

So it should be up to every individual Dinker to decide wether or not he is leaving - and not because a number of people want him to. The only exception I can think of for excluding a Dinker is if he'd behave in such a way that he'd exceeded al normal standards for human behavior. (And I think that is up to staff to decide; perhaps there should be some rules, like clubs or society's have, so everyone who wants to join, know what those are.)



And finally, don't forget what it's all about: making and playing D-mods and having a good time doing that. :)
