I'd be interested in learning C. I'd be asking a lot of questions though but they should help you improve you tutioral since I am completely clueless in C. Also I could help do a tutioral in HTML for beginners. Its simple and easy to explain.
: ok, this is kinda off topic, but i want to guage ppl's reactions on this one: (its a long read aswell...)
: ok, in the last month, ive been teaching some friends of min various progarmming languages. i taught someone the basics of (real, not dink)C. i tauchg some ppl python programming. im teaching several ppl HTML. all these lessons are via email, and ppl generally get 1 email a day, covering the next item in the "course". this way, they never get too much information at once, which can make learning a language harder. also, because i was only writing one "chapter" at once, the lessons tend to be easy to read, straight foreward, and generally concise.
: then i had the idea of creating an online section of lesons, where ppl sign up with their email addr, and they get posted onelesson a day, thus enabeling them to learn a language easily, as long as they stuck to it. my email addr would be supplied at the bottom of every email, and students are encouraged to ask me questions and/or point out inacuracies in the lessons. during the course of the tutorial, one or more "projects" might be undertaken, where the "students" would create a program which would be useful to them, without imput from me, apart from encouragment and suggestions, and maybe a fianl reveiw of the code.
: so im thinking, i can do this for python, and the BASICS of C. IF i set some sort of system up for this, would one or more ppl be interested in writing a series of lessons aimed at beginners, bringing them up to speed, and making them into world class script writers?? (i know its a hard task, but it is managable). i would also need someone to take questions, and answer them. we can do load checks, by limiting the number of ppl on
: the course at once, making your workload less...
: so yeah, what do you think?? i know that for me, this would be REALLY helpfull, because it is easy to learn etc. etc, etc. i can make the CGI which sends out the lessons, all i need is someone to write the lessons themselfs. the person should have good english, be PATIENT, and explain things one step at a time, not mind typing heaps....
: if this ever gets off the ground, we could also post the lessons online, and get heaps of ppl to reveiw them (reveiw as in make better, not as in tell ppl how good it is). that way, we would be producing the tutorial to end all tutorials... IMHO, this sia kick ass idea, and id like to see it happen...
: any question? comments?? anything??
: please!! i need feedback!
I dunno if this is the right place to recruit experts at Python and C... most Dinkers don't program at all, and most D-Mod authors are crappy programmers by default.
Unless you're talking about doing this for DinkC... but it didn't seem like it from your wording.

oops. i realised that i didn't say this tight. i DO mean dinkC...

I'm interested. Why do you think I wrote my file? Cause it took me a very long time to understand the basics. And from the reactions I got I found out I wasn't the only one.
A complete course, covering everything would be great, but I think that would be a huge file.
I'd be interested ,but getting started in c is something I know nothing about.
