People have differents likes and dislikes, that is what makes us human.
And everyone who uploads a crappy file is a part of this community. So, if you want a community to grow you need a variety of good and bad files.
I think the Dink Network should host ALL user-made files even if it sucks. But if it is bad, then host the file but don't give he/she/they the points for it.

But who decides if a file is good enough? You I guess, but some people may work hard to produce a few files for the community, only for you to not post them. I'm VERY against point whores, but this is a very difficult and problematic way to counter it.
Then again, if it's only VERY bad files you don't upload, that's fair enough. And don't upload ehasl's files, I'm still recovering from Adolph Blaine Charles Dink...;)
Well, I just recieved a tutorial from Tal sent from which was a very self explanitory tutorial on creating d-mods. This tutorial point out that it is a good idea to have a new map file. When I was this asked myself "WTF?". Now, I probably shouldn't have uplaoded JVeenhofs d-mod checklist, but there was nothing like it, and I think a checklist should be advalible (even though that one could use some inprovement). Basically, it doesn't matter if the walkthrough is pretty or not, just it needs to have some use to it, not just a copy of another tutorial, or something that should be self explainitory.

I must agree, this is a mad point hunt.. If one were to be serious about tutorials he would make a site and host them himself..
