Walkthroughs
Dinkers,

Are any of you interested in writing walkthroughs. If you are you can email it to me at DethLord666@hotmail.com. Lately Simeon was the biggest contributor in submitting walkthroughs to me which helped me a lot. ;) Also Tyris and I wrote some walkthroughs as well. If you want to write any walkthroughs feel free to do so. :)

SimonK, I was wondering are you going to write a walkthrough for Creeping Sands? ;)

One final note, I wondered if anybody is going to rewrite a Friends Beyond 1 walkthrough since the one at the Dink Solutions doesn't correspond with the most recent version of the game.

Thanks!

Re: Walkthroughs
Hmmm maybe I should... so people can get all the secrets! - I hate writing walkthrus though! And I like seeing what other people do to get thru a DMOD, I think that is great feedback.
Re: Walkthroughs
Tell me, DethLord, did Dukie and you had a talk about the fact you took all the walkthroughs from his website?

And also, why making another walkthrough website when another one is already existing for long (and even translated in French ;))?
Re: Walkthroughs
I think when anybody makes a website and places there some collection must know that it will be downloaded and may be displayed elsewhere.

Duplicating information is not a crime.

Some rules apply here: you must mention the source and preferably make some credits message (thanks to authors, collectors, etc.)

I have no objections to downloading anything from my site.

I agree in theory.

But suppose I copy all your website contents, add stuff (like more screenshots of As Good As Eternity), and then try to claim it to be the official AGAE website and modify your link in the Dink Network, without warning you at all. Would you be glad?

Hmm... That wouldn't be nice. I might even flame you.

My site is only as a backup site to begin with. Just incase if Dink Solutions goes down the other source is up. :)

If you look at my walkthrough page, I did give credit to the walkthrough authors. Every walkthrough up there has been credited including Dink Smallwood hints by Dukie. I ALWAYS cite my sources.   If you don't believe me see for yourself. I am not going to give up in the walkthrough battle. No matter how negative Beuc says about my site, I'm still keeping it up. I'm not doing anything wrong. :) I'm just helping out the community! :)

That is good. :)

I never said you didn't.

Don't read me between the lines. I say what I say - and not a wink more.

Beuc,

The main reason why I had walkthroughs up at my site is just incase if Dink Solutions does go down, then my site is the backup site for walkthroughs. :) Also half the time I go to Dink Solutions it says forbidden or page not found. ;)One more thing my site now has 7 walkthroughs not found at Dink Solutions. ;)

Dink Solutions == Microsoft

DethLord's Dink Walkthroughs == Some dude trying to fit in. :)

OK, I will ask the question more precisely:

Did you had a talk with Dukie about mirroring all the walkthroughs, or not?

I can't contact it at the moment, and he did not told me about that.

Anyway, I don't like the idea to separate several websites with the same goal. You have better chance to make a good website if everybody works for a website, than if several people work on different websites.

About the host problem, I hope it won't last for long (see the post "Dink Solutions").

Comparing Dukie's website to Microsoft is too much. I would like his website were that powerful - it wouldn't have such host problems!

no!! this could be good, as the best website will be used more, and therefore win!!

It could be interesting if one site was not mostly a mirror of the other one.

Stop ccrying about it beuc, Dethlords site is just as good (if not better ) then the Solutions, and it is 500x more stable, and as such is invaluable.

Everybody, including dethlord, acknowledges the Solutiions, so its all ok.

Re: Beuc
I support Dethlord's site. Dukies site has been here for along time, but it has since become a unstable and unreliable source of walkthroughs. Dukie doesn't update the site anymore, and is bearly even alive in the Dink Community, and my personal opinion is maybe there should be another walkthrough site. However thats not to say we should burn Dukie's site.

DethLord does also have a lot of links on the top of his walkthrough page, also to Dukie's hints (hmmmm... are they also moved to DethLord's site? :p).
