: Hey everyone. It's been a while, but my new PC is done and I gotta' get back into Dink. It's actually been about 3 months. What's a good DMOD that has come out recently?
: James
I'll list some of my picks/the Dinkers' picks, starting from March. Beware, this post might be a bit lengthy. ;)
You may have played As Good As Eternity, because it's slightly older than 3 months. If you're anything like me, though, and you like to play the newest version of a D-Mod even after you've already beat it, then you may want to check out
AGAE Final. I haven't played it, but I hear it's great. In fact, I haven't done much gaming at all lately...I've been tied up with the women.
Speaking of re-released D-Mods,
Secret of Parizaya was re-released in late April under a "Gold" version. I haven't played this either, but the reviews are half good, half bad.
Kill the Hippies is good fun too. I believe it's self-explanatory.
Once in a Lifetime is a very good D-Mod (yep, I did play *one* ;) ) that can be finished in an hour or so. It even has a funny minigame entitled Dink's Pimple, which you can play provided that you solve a certain puzzle. Speaking of puzzles, this D-Mod has few of them, but they're very good ones. The only fault I could find was the ending (though I haven't played the very latest version, which supposedly modified that).
If you liked the previous Milderr!! D-Mods, you should download
Milderr!! 3: End of Questing should keep you entertained. I hear it's good. :)
Cloud Castle is another D-Mod which I took the time to play, and I must say it's pretty nice. It's got a fairly large amount of seemingly-British humor, if you're into that. It's also pretty short, but not too short.
Finally, SimonK (of Stone of Balance fame) released a good, short D-Mod just a few days ago entitled
The Creeping Sands. I've played through about half of it, and it's nice. Speaking of SimonK, he released patches for Stone of Balance and Isle of Croth recently, should you want to check those out.
This post was a lot longer than I had intended. :)
