It's only the middle of June, and we've already had around 10 file releases for the month. Sure, 2 or 3 of them don't count for the next DOTM because they're updates, but I think that's still a very nice flow of files.

Just wondering why the DOTM was invented. So there would be a game (outside and apart from all the D-mods) to see who is the best? Or to stimulate everybody in releasing as good as possible D-mods, tuts and files? Or... ?

Yep!

But if someone REALLY wanted to win it, then they would spend some time and make a very good d-mod, instead of all these half-arsed efforts that are released.

DOTM and DOTY were both created not only to reward the authors for their work, but to see the public opinion and to show which d-mod the public though were best.
