: You also need to go learn "bow lore" before you can gain entrance to the sanctuary. ;) If you go West from the Goblin Sanctuary, you'll run into the water. Go north and south along the beach for a few screens. You'll find a tree that you must burn down. A secret stairwell will appear. There's a guy in there that will teach you bow lore. I forget how much it is, but you said you have 17,000 coins so you will have more than enough. This will also "super size" your bow. You can do this mega shot thing that really kicks some tail. You also need to talk to the mayor's daughter, near the fountain and tell her about the planed attack.
