SOP - chapter 2

I must be dumb or blind or both, but I've come to a dead end here.  I killed a royal guard for a little girl and then killed a slayer for another fellow.  Went to a place marked "Danger", it had some slimes and then fire boncas, broke into the north room, slid the box out of the way but can't get past....... I haven't a clue as to what I should be doing!  If you can help I'd really appreciate it.... thanks

You need to hit the switch. it's the pilar right-under.
