New Dink Network Header Test
Below is an early version of the new header for DinknetG6 (the redesign).  Tell me what you think, is it good, bad crappy, too compact? The big red box represents the ad banner, in case it looks awful out of place :)

I think that the previous header is better.

what the hell is that giant water fountain doing there? that totally sucks, everything else is alright.

Heh... well what the heck is that huge pillbug doing on the main building in Terris? :)  The fountain acts sorta like a border... perhaps a huge slayer would work better?

pillbugs have a lot to do with dink smallwood but a giant ass water fountain just looks stupid. i understand that the shape fits well but the fact that its a stinkin water fountain is rediculous. a slayer might look cool. also i think it should include more blood all over the place but i understand if you dont like that sort of thing.

The way it is currently setup, I can easily change the right-part of the graphic quite easily... right now I have that odd slayer that doesn't match the perspective.  I decided to use it after none of the original Stone Giant/Slayer attack sequences were 133 pixels tall w/o shadows. If I find something better, I'll use that.



I'll have a test page up so the overall design can be criticised soon.

It looks great.

If you do want some opinion, I suggest to implant some new graphics from those well-recognized dmods, since Dink Network is mainly for dmods instead of the original Dink.

i think use things that are in all dmods, slayers,boncas,pillbugs,pigs,slimes, well, fountions, wizards,spells,pine trees,gold, potions,and some bosses from some of our great dmods.all small and moving with dink running around threwing magic,;)

Nah,  having all that stuff would just slow down the loading of the page, it tokk a little while as it is.



It looks good.  I would also suggest a re-think on the fountain and there appears to be a white section right at the bottom which doesn't look right.  Otherwise, it rocks!!     SK:)

The white areas on the bottom and right will be transparent.  The fountain will probably be replaced by either a weird looking slayer, or a Stone Giant/Slayer attack frame from the game.
