Are all the author's files in Dink Network free to use in my Dmod without asking permission from their makers? :)

I guess so, else they wouldn't have been made public.

Yeah, that's the idea I think. I'm sure the authors of the files would appreciate being put in the credits though.

Not obviously Kyle. Some allow people to use what they make public only if there're quoted in the credits, or asked. "Public" is not "free" [of rights].

He asked whether you could USE them without permission. That has nothing to with the author's possible request to put him in the credits :)

Most DMODs (in their readme and/or dmod.diz file) has got a copyright notice on that DMOD. I assume that that counts for everything in it too. Right?

according to some type of internet law everything you put on the internet is copyrighted. you can decide what you want other people to use it for. if you download something you wanna use from the dink community chances are no one is going to get mad at you for using it in your dmod, and yes it is nice to give the author credit.
